Positive Reward Scheme for Kids
At Kung Fu Schools, we love recognising effort – not just results. Our Positive Reward Scheme is designed to encourage great behaviour, strong focus, and a “black belt attitude” in everyday life, not only in the training hall.
Kids earn clips and cards for showing the right mindset: consistency, discipline, respect, and real Kung Fu spirit. Over time, they can build a collection of Five Elements Battle Cards and other special character cards.
How the Reward Scheme Works
1 Clip = 1 Lesson Attended
Every time your child attends a class, they receive 1 clip.
5 Clips = 1 Five Elements Battle Card
Once a child collects 5 clips, they can exchange them for one Five Elements Battle Card.
Five Elements Battle Cards
These are collectible character cards, split into themed series based around the five elements:
•Earth
•Fire
•Water
•Ice
•Air
Each series contains 10 cards to collect.
The Grand Master Card (Final Card)
The final card in each series is the Grand Master Card — and it’s only awarded once your child has collected the other 9 cards in that series.

“You Rock” Cards
You Rock Cards are awarded to the child who shows one of the following during class:
•The most improvement
•The most Kung Fu spirit
•A brilliant attitude, effort, or determination
5 You Rock Cards = 1 Rock Legend Card
When a child earns 5 You Rock Cards (blank on one side), they can exchange them for one “Rock Legend” character card.

Dragon Warrior Cards
Dragon Warrior Cards reward Black Belt Effort outside of Kung Fu — we want kids to bring the mindset into daily life too.
These can be earned for things like:
•Positive grades or feedback at school
•Swimming certificates
•Helping at home
•Acts of kindness and responsibility
•Achievements in clubs, sports, or personal goals
5 Dragon Warrior Cards = 1 Blaze Bringer Card
When a child earns 5 Dragon Warrior Cards (blank on one side), they can exchange them for one “Blaze Bringer” character card.

Well Done Cards (Little Dragons)
In our Little Dragons (ages 4–6) classes, we also use Well Done Cards to reinforce listening skills and focus.
These are presented to the child who:
•Was the most focused
•Sat in the best “Locked Up” position while listening to instruction
It’s a simple but powerful way to encourage calm attention, great manners, and strong learning habits at an early age.

Why We Use Rewards
This scheme isn’t about bribing kids to behave — it’s about building positive habits through recognition and consistency.
By earning clips and cards, children learn that:
•Showing up matters
•Focus and discipline are skills you can train
•Effort is noticed
•Good choices outside the training hall count too
Most importantly, it helps kids connect Kung Fu training with life skills — confidence, respect, patience, and resilience — in a way that feels fun and motivating.
Want to See It in Action?
Your child can start earning clips and cards from their very first lesson.
We offer a 4 week free trial for all children’s classes, so you can see how the reward system (and the training) works before committing.
