Gradings & Graduation Parties

Kids Gradings

Tip Test Week

The first stage of the grading process is the “TIP” (Training In Progress) Test. This is a test taken during the normal class around half way between gradings to ensure students are ready for their next grading. Think of it as a check to ensure they’re on track. After this students receive a tip on the end or their sash as well as the grading form to apply for the next grading. Don’t worry if you missed the tip test week though, we can always test them later to ensure your child doesn’t miss out

Grading Week

The next stage is Grading Week. All students can grade in their normal lessons at the normal time any day during grading week. We do this to ensure everyone has the opportunity to grade. All they need to do is come along to their usual lesson and do their best!

Grading Forms

Grading forms are handed out during the TIP Test week but don’t worry if you missed it, we can always do the tip test at a later date & there are always spare grading forms. Please do ensure the grading forms are completed and returned ASAP to ensure they receive their certificate & sash. We’d hate for anyone too miss out!

Graduation Party

When Grading Week is over we have our Kids Graduation Party. This is a celebration of their achievements. Dates & Times are on the Grading Forms. We have two separate graduations, one for Little Dragons (age 4-7) and one for Junior Warriors (age 7-12). If you have a child in each you can pick whichever is most convenient fo you.

There are always Certificate & Sash presentations, Party Food & of course…Kung Fu!
