Alex – Head Instructor & School Owner (3rd Degree)
Alex is the founder of Kung Fu Schools Gillingham and a 3rd Degree instructor. After earning his 1st Degree 11 years ago (at the time of writing) with Kung Fu Schools Crawley — where he trained consistently and developed his coaching skills — he went on to build his own school with the same high standards and community feel.
Alex still trains regularly under his Sifu, Paul Hawkes, and brings that “eternal student” mindset into every class. You’ll find him in the training hall across the full timetable, teaching everyone from our youngest Little Dragons right through to the adult classes.

Cameron – Instructor (2nd Degree) | Started July 2016
Cameron is one of the longest-serving instructors at the school and a 2nd Degree student — one of the highest grades at Kung Fu Schools Gillingham. Having trained for nearly a decade (at the time of writing), he has worked methodically through the Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced syllabus multiple times, developing the depth that only comes from years of consistent practice.
Calm, capable, and detail-focused, Cameron is known for keeping standards high while making students feel supported and confident. You’ll see him teaching and training on Wednesdays, and he’s the person you can rely on to “run the show” when Alex isn’t around.

Jack – Assistant Instructor | Started May 2016
Jack has been part of Kung Fu Schools Gillingham almost from the very beginning, starting in May 2016 as a Little Dragon at just 6 years old. Over the last decade, he’s grown in confidence, maturity, and ability — and it’s been incredible to see him develop from a young student into one of our most valued assistant instructors.
Because Jack has trained through our kids’ programmes and progressed over so many years, his skill and understanding of how we teach really shows in the training hall. He’s known for his calm, patient approach and a naturally reassuring presence that helps students feel comfortable, focused, and supported.

Ben – Assistant Instructor | Started July 2017
Ben began his journey as a Junior Warriors student in July 2017 and quickly proved himself through dedication and steady progress. He achieved his Junior Warriors Black Sash and has since moved into the adult syllabus, continuing to develop his technique and understanding at a high level.
Ben is a brilliant role model for younger students — living proof of what consistent training can build over time. He teaches regularly on Saturdays (and the occasional weekday), and he’s a familiar face at kids’ graduation parties too, helping with instruction, sash presentations, and keeping the day running smoothly.

Ethan – Assistant Instructor | Started September 2017
Ethan started as a Junior Warrior in September 2017 and progressed through the kids programme with real commitment — moving through the beginner stages, the Black Belt Training Course, and the leadership classes before stepping up into the adult syllabus.
He has now achieved his 12th Grade in the adult classes and is working towards his 1st Degree. Ethan is known for his reliability and work ethic: he’s almost always teaching on Saturdays, rarely misses a kids’ graduation party, and you’ll often see him training most nights in the adult classes — constantly sharpening his skills and setting the example.

Jadon – Assistant Instructor | Started December 2017
Jadon joined in December 2017 as a Little Dragon, and after a brief pause in training, returned with real momentum — restarting as a Junior Warrior, earning his Black Sash, and moving quickly into the leadership classes.
He now trains in the adult programme and has progressed into the Advanced class, where he continues to refine his Kung Fu with focus and energy. Jadon usually teaches on Mondays, and his natural enthusiasm is genuinely infectious.
