Fully Structured Adult Syllabus
Our training follows a clear, fully structured syllabus. You always know what you’re working on now, what comes next, and what you should be aiming at during each stage.
Our Adult Syllabus is split into three levels — Beginners (Grades 1–4), Intermediate (Grades 5–8) and Advanced (Grades 9–12). So whether you’re brand new or returning after a break, you can step into the training hall with direction and confidence.
Beginners (Grades 1–4)
Build strong foundations and practical self-defence skills
The beginner levels are all about learning the fundamentals of Wing Chun in a way that’s structured, progressive, and usable from the start. You’ll build stance, balance, coordination, timing, and the core striking and defensive tools that everything else is built on.
Modules in Beginner Grades (1–4):
• Straight Attack Defences
Learn how to deal with direct attacks using efficient Wing Chun structure, angles, and counters — simple responses that build strong habits.
• Elbows & Knees
Close-range tools that are practical, powerful, and ideal for real-world self-defence. You’ll learn when to use them and how to generate force safely.
• Round Attack Defences
Train realistic responses to wider, looping strikes with controlled drills that build confidence and composure.
• Grab Defences
Learn how to escape common grabs and holds using technique, body mechanics, and positioning — without relying on strength.
What you get from this level: clear technique, better fitness, improved coordination, and a practical toolkit for self-defence — all delivered step-by-step, in a positive ego free environment
Intermediate (Grades 5–8)
Increase skill, introduce contact awareness, and expand your toolkit
At Intermediate level, training becomes more technical. You’ll refine your timing, learn to apply skills under pressure (in a safe, controlled way), and develop better touch sensitivity and reaction.
At this level Chi Sau (Sticky Hands) is introduced
Chi Sau is one of the most valuable training methods in Wing Chun. It helps you improve:
•sensitivity and reflexes
•balance and structure under pressure
•timing, control, and calm decision-making
•the ability to “feel” opportunities rather than guess
Modules in Intermediate Grades (5–8):
• Interrupted Attacks
Learn how to break an opponent’s rhythm and respond during movement — improving speed, decision-making, and adaptability.
• Groundwork
Practical foundations for defending yourself if things end up on the floor — focusing on safe escapes, positioning, and getting back up effectively.
• Escrima Stick
Develop coordination, distance control, and reflexes through stick training that improves your overall martial skill and awareness.
• Multiple Assailant
Train smart footwork, positioning, and decision-making for high-pressure scenarios with more then one opponent — with a strong emphasis on awareness and escape.
What you get from this level: sharper reactions, better contact confidence, and more well-rounded ability across different ranges and situations.
Advanced (Grades 9–12)
Mastery, refinement, and high-level Wing Chun skill
Advanced grades are where students deepen their understanding and sharpen the details that make Wing Chun work at a high level. You’ll explore more advanced applications of both the Beginner and Intermediate syllabus — refining efficiency, timing, control, and tactical decision-making.
Chi Sau Sections 1–4
At this level, students learn Chi Sau (Sticky Hands) sections 1 through 4, progressing through structured sequences that build:
•deeper sensitivity and control
•advanced timing and positioning
•smooth transitions between defence and attack
•refined technique under continuous contact
What you get from this level: high-level skill development, refined technique, and the ability to apply Wing Chun principles with confidence and control.
Progress with clarity
Because the syllabus is structured, you’ll always have a clear path forward — and your training stays focused, motivating, and measurable.
